Sideways Top
Have you ever worn anything in an asymmetrical shape, like a shirt possibly? Well, if it's stylish, then it can be easy to pull off!
The weather in Ohio is getting much warmer now and it already kind of feels like summer! Of course, we Ohioans feel that way after a freaking long and miserable winter. It's like Floridians bundling up for 60 degree weather!
But anyway, since it's still a little chilly in mid April, I wanted to share a new outfit that fits well with the season and might come to you as a surprise: an assymetrical shaped shirt!
The first time I saw this shirt was in Zara during our trip to D.C. At first I thought it looked a dress, but then my mom told me it would look very cute with leggings or jeans, and that's when I realized it was actually a shirt! And I think it's much better off as a shirt, an asymmetrical dress would reveal a little too much.
I LOVE the dark gray color of the shirt! it's very modest and also a little calming. I think it's super creative and fun how the fashion designer(s) decided to make the dress more long on one side than the other. The fashion industry keeps getting more quirky and creative!
When it comes to jewelry, I would say either big chandelier earrings or a a long pendant necklace like the one pictured below from Anthropologie. Even though the shirt has a darker shade, I would still try to wear less jewelry since it's asymmetrical and you don't want to take away too much attention from it since it is the key to this specific outfit and which is why I'm writing a blog about it. Less is more!
Finally for shoes, it is warm enough outside to wear more open ankle footwear, which works perfectly well with these leggings from Lululemon that stop at my ankles. My favorite loafers from Madewell are so fashionable with this outfit and definitely stand out thanks to the cheetah print.
Thank you to my wonderful sister Lauren for taking these pictures, your photography skills keep getting better and better! Also I want to give her another S/O because she just got hired for a job in Chicago and will be moving there after graduation, and I could not be a more proud little sister!
